Saracen's Head Shoot Club

The Saracen's Head Shoot Club is an NAA officially sanctioned JOAD target archery club. We are located in Sebastopol, California.

NAA is National Archery Association - JOAD is Junior Olympic Archery Development

The NAA is the governing body for Olympic archery in US and selects the US Olympic Archery Team. The JOAD program teaches kids Olympic style target archery.

We have an outdoor space! We will be starting a Saturday morning club soon.

We are still looking for an indoor space.

The indoor shooting distance is 18 meters, so a space about 80 feet long by 20 to 40 feet wide is needed. Right now we shoot in the back yard along the fence and put up a tarp when it rains.

Once we have the opportunity of a safe indoor shooting space, we could continue our club shoot through the winter. We have recurve bows, arrows and targets to share, so new members can try shooting before committing to getting their own equipment.

I don't know how this will all work out, but if you have an interest in target archery or know of a potential space we could use, please contact us by email.

(By the way, if you're interested in compound bows, you can call Michael Camp at Back Room Saddlery and Archery in Santa Rosa, 575-3886. He can tell you about the kids' program run by the Sonoma County Bowhunters club.)
