This is a shot of Nathan practicing in our backyard. Kendra (his girlfriend) was taking some pictures and caught the arrow just milliseconds after the release. Notice the bowstring is at a slight arc curved back toward Nathan. The string has moved all the way forward to about the armguard white strap closest to the bow, and is rebounding back. The string at this moment is actually moving towards Nathan as the arrow speeds away.
